Navigating the complexities of CMMC 2.0 compliance (link opens new website) can be overwhelming and even confusing. At CTI, we understand the challenges that you may face when approaching this process. That is why we’ve developed our Level Up initiative with a streamlined 4-step CMMC 2.0 help approach, ensuring that your organization achieves the necessary certification with confidence.
LevelUp Process
1. Planning
We start with an initial discussion to understand your organization, your needs and identify what CMMC level is necessary to implement. Our team of certified CMMC professionals review the process in a pre-project meeting so there’s no confusion about what’s to come.
The detailed implementation plan cannot be developed without a GAP assessment. The GAP assessment is crucial as it shows where your organization is now in terms of security posture and what issues need to be addressed for your CMMC specific needs. As an RPO, CTI has Registered Practitioners and Certified CMMC Professionals who will discuss the GAP assessment results in detail so your organization can see where you stand and plan for implementation to be able to reach compliance. This process usually takes 4-8 weeks and sets up your organization for success in the implementation phase.
2. Implementation
During implementation a solutions architect works with our engineering team to address CMMC required controls and implement the plan developed for your organization. This starts with the GRC tool and the system security plan. Since the CTI team includes certified CMMC professionals who have guided clients through the process already, they are experienced at implementing specific plans for each organization according to their needs and delivering the required System Security Plan (SSP) that documents each control and tool to show each requirement is met.
3. Data Migration
Once the implementation is complete, the data migration can begin to safely transfer all secure data into an environment that meets DoD standards specific to your organization’s CMMC level requirements. For the email portion of the data, we recommend Microsoft GCC or Microsoft GCC High, depending on your specific needs. Microsoft has designed this software specifically in line with the DoD’s rigorous standards and this will likely become a key tool to reach compliance.
4. Documentation
At CTI, it’s not just about what we do to help you reach CMMC requirements, but how we do it. As an RPO, our Registered Practitioners and Certified CMMC Professionals are here to make sure your implementation is trackable, set you up for success during assessment, and ensure the systems are easier to manage moving forward. We work with our clients so they can truly own their network and have a detailed understanding of everything they’re managing. At CTI, we deliver all the documentation and knowledge transfer to go with your compliance. During final hand-off meetings, our team of experts will provide detailed breakdowns of the implementation and any corresponding technology.
As a Registered Practitioner Organization, our team at CTI has CMMC certified professionals to help support all your CMMC needs. We have over 20 years of combined experience supporting DoD programs in information technology, information assurance, and cybersecurity.
